Introduction Course to Wild Camping – 2 days skills course in Dartmoor National Park

Pat

Greetings! As an experienced hiker and wild camper, I have spent many years honing my survival skills both solo and in small groups. I always strive to demonstrate best practices in the wilderness, leading by example when camping and practicing bushcraft skills.

In my professional life, I manage a popular adventure travel tour operator based here in London, UK. Combining my passion for the great outdoors with my expertise in the tourism industry, I am well-equipped to understand your needs and deliver a tailored service that exceeds your expectations.

My mission is to show you how to sustainably and respectfully spend time in nature. We are all guests in the wilderness, and it is vital that we act as responsible stewards of the environment. Now more than ever, it is crucial to remember the seven Leave No Trace principles: take nothing but photographs and leave nothing but footprints. By following these simple steps, we can all enjoy the pristine beauty of nature and preserve its habitats and ecosystems for generations to come.

Raf

For over 10 years I have been growing my passion and skillset for the great outdoors. Hiking, backpacking and wild camping became my go-to form of outdoor activities.

As a professional chef with over 20 years of experience in restaurants and hotels, I have specialised in organising outdoor events and camp cooking. Cooking outdoors is my favourite bit when I can reconnect with nature and constantly improve my skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Fabrication of the oak furniture made out of Scottish whisky barrels is my day job but I have partnered with Adventure Clinic to share my outdoors knowledge and experience. I will show you how respectfully and sustainably enjoy the outdoors not compromising on comfort or food quality.

Lara Walk Wood HP5

Lara

Woods, like towns, are known by their own names. Walk Wood comes from the “ladies’ walk” of Chenies Manor. In Tudor times, it was part of the estate. The wood’s 9 acres are brimming with the human history of the Chilterns and has been forested since as far back as 1600 AD. It shelters songbirds, birds of prey, small mammals and is frequented by several species of deer.

I’m Walk Wood’s manager and focus on both environmental and what we call social sustainability of the wood.

That is, we foster the biodiversity and resilience of our wood and the wildlife it is home to. And we also make it available in a responsible way for the local community and our guests, in ways that help connect with and learn more about our environment.

I’m happy to partner with Patryk in organizing safe and enjoyable activities!

Hi, This is Samuel, founder of Ace Travel Buddy, but to be honest this sounds too serious. He is more known among his friends as the man from the forest or the son of the bigfoot 🤣

He loves adventures, crazier than better.

One day he got frustrated with a baby wipes that he used to use to keep himself fresh on the go and decided to do something about this. And that’s how Ace Travel Buddy wet wipes were born.

That is for now, but the story continues…

Nearly Wild Camping is a network of diverse locations (mostly across the UK) offering Nearly Wild Camping experiences.
THEY ALL HAVE THINGS IN COMMON:

  • Plenty of space between pitches to ensure peace and privacy
  • Most locations are campfire/BBQ friendly
  • Only basic facilities

They are all much more than a place to sleep, offering the chance to explore where you are through guided walks, star gazing, badger watching, having a go at some regular onsite tasks (from feeding the chickens to carving a spoon), cooking up some homegrown veg on your campfire and much more.

Welcome to the Ski Club of Great Britain®!
