Bushcraft is a set of skills used to survive and thrive in the wilderness. In a nutshell bushcraft skills are used to make your time in the wilderness as enjoyable as possible.

Wild camping is simply camping in a wild environment without modern life facilities. You need to carry all your gear so it is nearly impossible to wild camp without some backpacking. Wild Camping must be executed following the Leave No Trace rules. You will not set a ‘base camp’ or impact wild nature in any permanent way. 

Yes. You should be prepared for all sorts of flying, crawling, running and swimming creatures. All animals should be respected and left in peace because we are guests in their ‘homes’!

Yes. Nothing to worry about though. The largest animals you will encounter will highly likely be cows and horses! Dartmoor is known for Dartmoor Ponies!
Nothing to worry about as they will be more scared of you than you may be scared of them. Just leave them in peace and admire their beauty from a distance.

LNT – Leave No Trace – the most important set of guidance you must follow. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprint.

Yes and no. You cannot have a campfire without the landowners permission. Some campfires will be in a designated areas and others will be made following the strict landowner’s guidance. You can assume that campfires will only be possible during Bushcraft and Camping Weekends. 

Depending on weather and route you may be able to soak in a river or a lake. Please speak to us if that is your goal and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Exact parking location will be provided closer to each adventure weekend’s start date.

If you have to go, then you have to go. 
There are rules to follow when out and about that will be clearly explained. 
During Bushcraft and Wild Camping Weekends there should either be a compostable toilets or we will set up a ‘bivvy loo’. 
During Introduction to Wild Camping and Wild Camping Night Challenge we will all connect with nature!
You should always have with you (ideally!) biodegradable toilet paper and/or wet wipes. When in the wild we will bring all trash back with us so keep that in mind!

Certainly you will! Being in the wilderness is much safer than city centres!
We will make sure that you know what to expect and explain everything in details. 
Please feel free to ask in case of any questions at all!

We will sleep in tents or tarps. Hammocks will only be suitable for Bushcraft and Wild Camping weekends. 

You will receive a detailed list of equipment suitable for each adventure weekend.

It is not a question if it will rain but when and how long. You should have a suitable waterproof clothing and boots. 
We will cancel your weekend only if there will be a red weather warning issues by MetOffice.
In case of adverse weather we may consider moving Wild Camping weekend to Bushcraft and Wild camping weekend. 
You will always be contacted before any changes. 

Simply because Dartmoor National Park is the only place in England where it is allowed to Wild Camp. There are rules, bylaws to follow. We will always make sure that we won’t break any laws or rules when wild camping.

Because the exact location will depend on weather conditions, groups sizes and group’s fitness level. 
You can assume that Wild camping will almost always happen in Darmoor when Bushcraft and Wild Camping weekends will happen within 200miles radius from London.

In most cases YES! 
We will need to discuss your objectives, suitable dates and group’s size so we can advise what is feasible and what will most definitely not be possible. 

In case you will be tested positive for COVID-19 you will not be able to proceed with your trip. 
Please contact us to discuss but in most cases you should have a suitable insurance to cover any cancellations. 
In case we will be forced to cancel your trip because of COVID-19 of force majeure we will refund you in full. 

Some basic equipment may be available. Please contact us directly to discuss your enquiry and we will do our best to help. 

Your group will be no bigger than 3+ adventure travel specialist for Wild Camping Weekends and up to 5+ adventure travel specialist for Bushcraft and Wild Camping weekends. 

You should be able to walk with rucksack for up to 6hours each day on Wild Camping wekeends for 2 to 3 consecutive days. 
Note that you will carry all your kit so your rucksack including water may weight between 10kg and 15kg. 
For Bushcraft and Wild Camping Weekends you will need to carry your rucksack from parking to basecamp location. Potentially up to an hour. 

You don’t need any particular skills other than how to use your rucksack and walk!
We will show you everything you need to know!
This is the main purpose of Adventure Clinic. To teach you new skills or refresh existing skills so you can plan and execute the next adventure on your own!
